F-Stop Photo suggested I contact the Orangeville Camera Club, and when I Googled it, up came the Headwaters Photography website – I hope I’ve got the right one! I am on the Alzheimer Society Walk for Memories Committee and we have a need for two volunteer photographers for our event. It’s taking place Sunday, January 25 from 9:30-11:30am at the Orangeville Mall.
We’re having a “Capturing Memories” photo station that participants and families can stop at to get their picture taken. The Dufferin Museum is giving us a couple of grand old frames that the participants can hold around them, like a fun portrait is being shot. Some Orangeville Flyers hockey players will also be on hand to have photos taken with the walkers. We are hoping to find one photographer who can be at the Capturing Memories station to take these shots, which we would like to email to the families afterwards as a keepsake.
The second photographer is a good, old-fashioned roving events photographer. I will be able to provide a list of the types of shots we want to capture, happy faces, people walking and dancing, band playing etc. I will also be onsite to assist the volunteers in any way.
The Walk for Memories is a good time. Volunteers will get coffee, morning baked goods, a light lunch and piece of cake – in addition to our heartfelt gratitude. They will receive photo credits for any pictures that get published online or in our print materials.
If you know of anyone who might be interested, could you please pass along this note? I can be reached at the email address above or at 519-307-0334 (home) or 416-554-2697 (mobile).
Thank you very much for your help!

PS – I saw on your website that you walked the Camino. I did that myself last year (and a couple of times in the past – what can I say, it’s addictive.) Where did you start from?
PPS – I tried to send this to your email address, but it bounced back.
I have posted your message to all the members of the Headwaters Photography Society. Yes, that is the new name of the Orangeville Camera Club. I will be out of town that day, but I hope others will respond to you.
